I finally got around to trying that new hiking trail you recommended last month. Honestly, it was even better than you described. The views at the overlook were incredible, and the path was in great shape — not too muddy even after that rain we had. I took your advice and started early, which made all the difference because by noon the parking lot was overflowing. We brought sandwiches and ate near the creek about halfway up. My dog loved splashing around in the shallow parts. I think we'll go back next weekend if the weather holds. Let me know if you want to join. Oh, I totally forgot to tell you — I saw Sarah at the farmers market on Saturday. She said the quilt show was amazing this year, and she picked up a couple of pieces for her guest room.
