I don't think it matters. I checked the wording for Healing Word and Cure Wounds, although I think it's the same for all spells that have the restriction. Anyways, those two state "This spell has no effect on undead or constructs". Now, if the PC had the Undead type but isn't affected by effects that affect "undead", then what would be the point of the question?
