| I mean we've had what... watchman? Maybe to a very low degree the Nolan Batman movies? That's about it I think. Other than that the MCU has pretty much completely defined popular perception of super heroes for the entire last decade... for better or worse. I'd also hardly call them a reconstruction, they're pretty much just based around the concept of predictably throwing in a joke whenever things threaten to actually become a bit immersive or dramatic. Mind you after watching Thor:Ragnarok despite usually not bothering with Marvel Movies these days, I actually really enjoyed that quite a lot. Probably because they just finally went ahead, admitted to themselves that they're comedies verging on parodies and then really went with it, rather than their usual approach of trying to make a somewhat serious story and then inserting jokes and oneliners in such a predictable fashion you can practically count down to them. Seriously if you wanna make comedies, just make comedies. |
