Yeah I finally made it to that new exhibit downtown. Honestly it was way more crowded than I expected even on a weekday afternoon. Some of the interactive installations were really clever though especially the one with the projection mapping on the walls. I spent almost an hour just in that room. My phone died halfway through which was actually kind of liberating because I stopped trying to document everything and just looked at stuff.

Afterwards we grabbed coffee at that place around the corner with the patio. The weather was perfect for sitting outside. My friend ordered some fancy latte with oat milk and I just stuck with black coffee like always. We ended up talking for like two hours about nothing in particular.

Anyway I'd say it's worth going if you can get there on a less busy day. Maybe try a Tuesday morning if you can swing it. Let me know if you end up going. I think you would really enjoy the lighting installation they have in the back room.

So I finally attempted that pasta recipe you sent me last month. I kept putting it off because the ingredient list looked a bit involved but honestly it came together way faster than I thought. The sauce was the star here I think next time I might double it because we were scraping the bowl clean.

I did make a couple of substitutions because I couldn't find exactly what the recipe called for. Used regular basil instead of Thai basil and swapped the regular mushrooms for cremini. Turned out fine honestly I don't think anyone would know the difference unless they had the original side by side.

We had leftovers for lunch the next day and somehow it tasted even better. My partner said it reminded them of something their grandma used to make which I'm taking as a huge compliment. Send me more recipes if you have any good ones. I have been trying to cook more at home lately and it has been a nice way to unwind after work. The whole process of chopping and stirring is kind of meditative you know.
