So I finally attempted that pasta recipe you sent me last month. I kept putting it off because the ingredient list looked a bit involved but honestly it came together way faster than I thought. The sauce was the star here I think next time I might double it because we were scraping the bowl clean.
I did make a couple of substitutions because I couldn't find exactly what the recipe called for. Used regular basil instead of Thai basil and swapped the regular mushrooms for cremini. Turned out fine honestly I don't think anyone would know the difference unless they had the original side by side.
We had leftovers for lunch the next day and somehow it tasted even better. My partner said it reminded them of something their grandma used to make which I'm taking as a huge compliment.
