I think the community garden project is coming together nicely. We have about twelve people confirmed for the weekend planting session. The soil tests came back and everything looks good for vegetables. We should focus on tomatoes and peppers since those seem to be the most requested items. I reserved the corner plot near the shed for herbs because they need less direct sunlight. We still need to figure out the watering schedule though. Maybe we can set up a rotating system where each person takes one day per week. That way no one feels overwhelmed. I also talked to the local nursery and they can donate some starter plants if we pick them up by Friday. Let me know if you want me to coordinate that. The mulch delivery is scheduled for next Tuesday morning. I think we should have a quick meeting this week to finalize the layout plan. Everyone seems excited about getting started.

We finally decided on the route for the trip. Going through the coastal highway makes more sense even though it adds an extra hour of driving. The views are worth it and there are several good spots to stop for lunch. I booked the cabin for two nights near the lake. They said check-in is flexible so we can arrive whenever we want on Friday. I packed the hiking gear and the portable grill. We should bring some extra chairs since the cabin only has two. The weather forecast looks good with only a slight chance of rain on Saturday afternoon. I mapped out a few trails that are moderate difficulty and should take about three hours each. We can decide which ones to do when we get there. I also reserved a table at that seafood place you mentioned for Saturday evening. Let me know if you think of anything else we need to bring. I have room in the car for more supplies.
