For Licensed Motorists: a CompIimentary Roadside Kit

Yes, We looked at a few trail options for Saturday. The Pine Ridge loop is about six miles with moderate elevation gain and should take roughly three hours at a steady pace. There is a creek crossing early on that can be slippery, so waterproof boots are recommended. We could meet at the main trailhead parking lot at 7:30 AM to avoid the midday heat. I checked the weather forecast and it shows partly cloudy with a high near 74 degrees and low chance of precipitation, which should make for comfortable conditions. For gear, I suggest bringing at least two liters of water per person, a lightweight jacket in case the wind picks up, and some snacks for the midway break. There is a nice overlook about halfway where we can stop and rest. If anyone wants to bring a camera, that spot offers good views of the valley below. After the hike, we could grab lunch at that sandwich place near the ranger station. Let me know if the time works for your group or if adjustments are needed.

AAA Roadside Support - Member Services

I looked into the potluck details for next Friday. We have about twelve people confirmed so far, and the sign-up sheet shows a good mix of main dishes and sides. There are a couple of people who asked about gluten-free options, so I am planning to bring a quinoa salad with roasted vegetables and a lemon vinaigrette on the side. For the main protein, someone is bringing a slow-cooker brisket and another person is making a baked pasta dish. We still need a few more desserts and maybe an extra appetizer. I can ask around to fill those gaps. The gathering starts at 6 PM in the community room, and they have a full kitchen available if anything needs reheating. I will bring a few serving utensils and some napkins just in case. Let me know if you want me to coordinate a specific dish assignment or if there is anything else you need help setting up.
