I have been shifting my meeting times around this past month. I used to meet with the group first thing in the morning, before work. But I was often still tired and not paying close attention. I changed it to mid-afternoon two weeks ago. Since then I have been able to finish my other tasks first and then sit down for the meeting without rushing. This past Tuesday we met at 2:30 PM and stayed for forty minutes. That felt about right. Next week I am going to try 3:00 PM instead, because one person always arrives a few minutes late. We will keep the meeting on the same day for now. I do not want to change too many things at once. If the later time works better, I will write it down as our regular slot. I think that is enough adjusting for the time being.

I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work today. Traffic was normal, so I got there around 5:40 PM. I needed a few basic things, mostly milk, eggs, bread, and some chicken for dinners this week. The store was busier than I expected for a Tuesday, so I had to wait in line about ten minutes. I also picked up a bag of apples because they were on sale for $2.99. I almost forgot to get laundry detergent, but I remembered when I walked past that aisle. I spent $48.35 total, which is about $15 less than my usual trip. I think it helped that I stuck to a list this time. I got home around 6:20 PM and put everything away before I made dinner. I have enough food now to cover lunches and dinners through Friday. Tomorrow I will not need to stop anywhere after work, which saves me some time.
