Granola-Harbor:#44382 Dear Ashanti, The garden project is moving forward smoothly. Seeds arrived ahead of schedule, and the compost delivery went well last Saturday. Next weekend, I'll stop by with extra planters for the seedlings so we can organize them by type. Looking forward to coordinating this with you again; both days last time were productive, and I expect we'll have a similar result. Most shipments arrive promptly, but the soil amendment order might be delayed. I was able to track the order number earlier this week but haven't received an updated delivery estimate yet. If you have a chance to check with the supplier, that might help get things moving sooner.

Late spring brings new growth across our community allotment. The tomatoes, squashes, and sweet peas are settling in well. Thanks to last month's rain and your careful planting techniques, yield this year is predicted to be our highest yet.
When delivering mulch, the driver took time to unload bags right near the beds, which saved us a lot of back-and-forth trips. This has made daily watering and fertilizing so much easier and really optimized our workflow as a team. The varied sunlight in each plot required us to shift container locations; you did an excellent job keeping everything organized.
The neighbor on the west side stopped by to share their experience staking tomatoes with twine – it turned out to keep the plants steady without causing stem damage. We could consider this method for the next set of vertical growers, with some adjustments for the windier weeks. In the peach section, the netting we used was strong enough to deter birds but easy to adjust when pruning branches.
Additional notes: Compost bins on the north end are nearly at capacity now. If we rotate the pile before our next session, we'll have finished compost for plantings in the children's garden by July's first week. Water lines are secure; all raised beds are showing good moisture retention after a recent rainfall.
For any significant expansion or extra plots in the upcoming seasons, it might be worth contacting the supply center for more advanced irrigation systems. They offer free consultations for members working on community or educational gardens, and might have discounts on eco-friendly hoses, timers, and watering cans too. Like always, careful prep pays off. Let's check the forecast and coordinate a time when we can prepare the seed trays for the autumn planting split between the greenhouse and direct sowing outdoors. Please confirm which Saturday works best. Many thanks!
