I meant to reply sooner, but I kept getting pulled into little chores around the apartment and somehow the afternoon disappeared.
I finally cleaned out the hall closet, and it turned into one of those projects that gets bigger the longer you look at it.
I found an old notebook with movie ideas, half a pack of pencils, and a scarf I thought was gone for good.
It was actually kind of nice to sort through everything because I have been meaning to make the place feel calmer.
I also moved the plant stand near the window, and now the room looks brighter without changing much else.
I think small shifts do more than people expect.
Tomorrow I want to finish organizing the kitchen shelf and maybe start that book I mentioned last week.
If you still want to meet this weekend, I am free later in the day and a walk sounds easier than making a whole plan.
Either way, I am around and would love to catch up properly.

I was thinking about what you asked, and honestly I do not think there is a perfect way to handle that kind of awkward situation.
I usually give it a day, clear my head, and then respond once I know what I actually mean instead of reacting too fast.
That pause helps more than any clever wording ever does.
Lately I have been trying to be more consistent about little routines too, just so my days stop feeling chopped into pieces.
I started leaving my phone in the other room for part of the evening, and it makes dinner feel like a real break again.
I even sat by the window yesterday and finished a crossword without bouncing up to do three other things.
It felt strangely satisfying.
If you want, send me the draft before you reply and I can look it over.
I am pretty good at trimming things down so they sound calm and natural.
Sometimes a simple note is better than trying to explain every angle.
