Hey! I finally got around to trying that new pasta place you mentioned. Honestly, I was a little skeptical because I usually prefer classic Italian spots, but this one really surprised me. The marinara was super fresh and the homemade fettuccine had a great chew. We sat outside on the patio and the weather was perfect. I had the chicken parm which was enormous—I brought half home. The tiramisu was decent, not as good as Nonna’s but satisfying. Anyway, I remembered you said they have a lunch special that’s a steal, so I’ll try that next time. Thanks for the tip! Also, how was your weekend trip up north? I hope the hiking trails weren’t too muddy. We should plan something together soon. Maybe a cooking class? Let me know what you think.

Oh! I almost forgot to tell you about that documentary on urban farming we watched last night. It was really eye-opening. They followed a family in Brooklyn who turned a vacant lot into a thriving vegetable garden. The whole community got involved and now they supply produce to local restaurants. I never realized how much work goes into growing kale and tomatoes in a city environment. The cinematography was beautiful too — lots of time‑lapse shots of plants growing. It made me want to start a small herb garden on my balcony. Do you have any tips? I think I'll try basil and mint first since they're supposed to be easy. Anyway, let me know if you want to borrow the documentary. I can drop off the DVD this weekend if you're free.
