I finally got around to reading that book you recommended, the one about the history of cartography. It's fascinating how much political bias went into old mapmaking. The author spends a whole chapter on a famous map that literally had a mountain range drawn in just to discourage exploration from a rival empire. I had no idea. Also tried that sourdough starter recipe. Day three it smelled like old socks and I was ready to throw it out, but I stuck with it and just baked my first loaf yesterday.
