I just got back from the hiking trail near my place and the weather was absolutely perfect. We ended up taking a different route than usual and found this little creek we had never noticed before. My dog was so excited she jumped right in even though the water was pretty cold. I really need to start bringing a small towel when we go. Next time I think we will pack a simple lunch and make a full afternoon of it. The leaves are just starting to turn so the colors are amazing right now. I wish I had remembered my better camera because phone photos never do justice to the real view. My friend recommended a different trailhead that connects to this same loop so I might try that one next weekend. It is supposed to be a bit longer but less steep and has better views of the valley. I have been trying to get outside more often and this was a good reminder of how much I enjoy it.

I finally finished reorganizing my bookshelf last night and it looks so much better now. I grouped them by color instead of by author and honestly it makes the whole room feel different. My roommate thinks I am crazy for doing it that way because now I cannot find anything but I remembered where most things are anyway. The hardest part was deciding what to do with the books I have already read and probably will not read again. I ended up putting them in a box for now but I should probably just donate them. There is a little free library a few blocks away that takes donations. I also found a few old notebooks from college with some funny notes in the margins. It was a great ntYZSkPdWnsI trip down memory lane and now the shelf looks great so I am happy with how it turned out. Next I think I will tackle the closet which is a much bigger project but I have a free weekend coming up so it might be the right time.
