You asked about Saturday and I think that timing works well. We can plan for early afternoon so everyone has time to arrive and settle in. I will prepare a few dishes ahead of time and then we can figure out cooking as we go. Let me know if you think we should coordinate anything specific or if people prefer to just bring whatever they like. I have enough seating for everyone if the weather allows us to use the deck as well. I tried the marinade you mentioned and it worked really well with chicken. I left it overnight and the flavor was noticeable but not overpowering. I paired it with a simple rice dish and some roasted vegetables and the whole meal came together nicely. I think next time I might add a bit more acidity to balance the sweetness but overall it was a solid recommendation. If you have other similar ideas I would be interested to try them. I have been trying to expand my regular cooking rotation and finding a few reliable options makes weekly planning much easier. Let me know if you have any other suggestions you think I should try.
