Yeah, I totally get what you mean. I was actually looking at that same thing last week. My neighbor had mentioned it to me while we were walking our dogs. I tried to explain my side but it came out all jumbled. Honestly, I think the whole situation is just a matter of timing. We've been going back and forth on whether to take that trip in the spring or push it to summer. The weather's better in May but everything costs more. Then my friend said she had already booked her flight for June anyway. So now I'm leaning toward summer just so we can all go together.

Hey, so I finally got around to trying that recipe you sent. It turned out really well actually. I swapped the onions for leeks because that's what I had on hand, and I think it made it a bit sweeter. The kids ate it without complaint which is honestly the real victory. I also added a splash of lemon at the end just to brighten it up. Let me know if you want the exact measurements I used because I sort of eyeballed it.
Also, I'm planning to repot that succulent this weekend. The poor thing is practically bursting out of its current pot. I found this really cool terracotta one at a garage sale for like two bucks.
