Hey, I finally tried that hiking trail you told me about last month. The one up near the ridge with the switchbacks. It was honestly way better than I expected — the weather held up and the views at the top were incredible. I brought a light pack with just water and some snacks and that was plenty. The whole loop took about four hours with a few stops for photos. I saw a couple of deer near the creek around the halfway point. I need to get out more often, it cleared my head. Anyway, I was looking back through our messages and saw your note about the other trail on the east side too. If you want to plan something for next weekend, I am free Sunday. Hey, I finally made it to that new coffee shop on Main Street — the one with the exposed brick and the neon sign. The cold brew was excellent and they have this cardamom latte that I am still thinking about. I grabbed a bag of beans to take home and they ground it for French press which was nice of them. The barista recommended a pastry called a morning bun and it was honestly perfect — not too sweet, with a little cinnamon and orange zest. I sat by the window for about an hour and read a few chapters of that book you lent me. The place was quiet around 10am on a Tuesday, so good timing. I think you would like the vibe there.
