Yeah I totally agree with you on that trail recommendation. We went up last weekend and the views were absolutely incredible. The switchbacks were a bit tough but totally worth it once we reached the ridge line. We packed sandwiches and just sat up there for an hour watching the clouds roll through the valley. I think next time we will try the longer loop that goes past the old fire lookout tower. My phone died about halfway through so I did not get as many pictures as I wanted but honestly that made the whole experience better because I just soaked it all in without distractions. The weather was perfect too not too hot and just enough breeze to keep the bugs away. If you want to go again next month I am definitely in. Just let me know when works for you and I will bring extra trail mix this time around. There was this one spot near the creek where we startled a deer and it just stood there for a few seconds before bounding off. The whole place felt so remote even though it is only about an hour from town. Really glad you told me about this place.

That pasta recipe you sent me turned out way better than I expected. I was a little nervous about the sauce because I have never made anything with that combination of herbs before but it came together really nicely. I used the fresh basil from my windowsill planter and I think that made a big difference in the flavor. Next time I might try adding a little lemon zest to brighten it up even more. My roommate asked for the leftovers for lunch the next day which is always a good sign that something worked. I am thinking of trying that mushroom version you mentioned maybe next weekend when I have more time to let it simmer fzhjbVROkKg7 low and slow. Let me know if you have any other recipes like that because I am on a roll now and I want to keep experimenting with new flavors. The best part was that it did not take forever to prep either which made it perfect for a weeknight dinner. I added a little extra garlic because you know me and honestly it only made things better.
