Thanks for the update on the book club schedule. I think moving the meeting to the first Tuesday of the month works much better for everyone. I finished the reading for this week and found the second chapter particularly engaging. The author's perspective on urban planning is quite different from what we discussed last month. I started looking into the supplementary materials you mentioned and found some interesting interviews online. Also, I can handle bringing the refreshments for the next gathering if that works well. Let me know if we need to coordinate any snacks or drinks. I was thinking of preparing that lemon cake from the recipe you shared. It turned out well last time I tried it. Looking forward to hearing what everyone thought about the latest assignment.

Regarding the hiking trip preparation, I checked the trail conditions for the proposed route. The park service reported that the northern loop is still a bit muddy, but the southern trail is in great shape. I think we should plan for the longer route if everyone is comfortable with a full day hike. I can carry the first aid supplies and extra water. Let me know if you want me to reserve the group campsite for Saturday night. Also, I can coordinate the carpool arrangements if you send out the meeting point. I will bring the map and compass, and I also have a portable stove for cooking. It should be a good trip if the weather stays clear.
